Clarification of STEC's financial statement 30 June 09

To : President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Dear Sirs, We, Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company Limited, would like to provide theclarification on quarterly financial statement ended 30 June 2009 which showed net profit of equity holders of the parent Baht 42.74 million for the three-month period and Baht 90.46 million for the six-month period comparing to the same periods of the previous year net profit of equity holders of the parent at Baht 6.30 million and Baht 52.10 million respectively due to the following reasons: 1. The company and subsidiary companies's gross profit for the three-month period and six-month period were amount Baht 135.00 million and Baht 236.28 million comparing to the same periods of the previous year at Baht 117.08 million and Baht 231.07 million respectively. These amounts reflect the increasing of Baht 17.92 million and Baht 5.21 million, which equal to 15.30%and 2.26% for the three-month period and six-month period due to the increasing of percentage of gross profit margin of the projects. 2. Financial cost decreased at the amount of Baht 21.37 million and Baht 35.92 million for the three-month period and six-month period of the previous year . Please kindly be informed.
