Clarification of STEC's financial statement ended 31 Dec 08

To : President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Dear Sirs, We, Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company Limited, would like to provide the clarification on our yearly financial statement ending 31 December 2008 which showed net profit for equity holders of the parent company of Baht 178.08 million which increased 721.72% compare to Baht 21.67 million of the previous year due to the following reasons: 1. The company and subsidiary companies's gross profit for 2008 was Baht 512.27 million which increased 70.58% compare to Baht 300.31 million of the previous year . These amounts reflect to the increasing of percentage of gross profit margin of the construction projects. 2. The subsidiary company recorded gain on sales of investments in associated company Baht 52.88 million . 3. Administrative expenses decreased Baht 44.46 million from the previous year.
