POSTING OF "SP" SIGN AGAINST STEC

POSTING OF "SP" SIGN AGAINST STEC SINO-THAI ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION PUBLIC CO.,LTD. (STEC) informed the SET that STEC had conducted the book building process for its private placement of newly issued shares to institutional investors from Europe and Asia. STEC has requested to suspend trading its securities on January 12, 2006 because it may effect the price of STEC's securities in the market. Therefore, the SET has posted the "SP" sign against STEC's securities, effective from 12 January 2006 requested by STEC and the SET will permit resumption of trading of STEC effective from the first trading session of 13 January 2006 onwards.
