"SP" SIGN ON STECON

"SP" SIGN ON STECON Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited (STECON) has asked The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to temporarily suspend trading on its securities, because the company and its creditors had filed the petition for rehabilitation to the court, and the court would put the petition on trial for the first hearing on 17 January 2000. After the hearing, the court may or may not approve the petition during trading session of the Stock Exchange, and the result can affecct the share price. As requested, the SET therefore has suspended trading of STECON shares from 17 January 2000 until the court approves or disapproves the petiton. Now, the company has informed that the court allows STECON to go under rehabilitation process and approves Mr.Anutin Charnvirakul President and Mr.Chavarat Charnvirakul Chairman of the Advisory Board as the rehabilitation planner. However, the rehabilitation plan would be a material information for making investment decision, and it is still uncertain because the plan needs approval from the creditors and the court. Therefore, by virtue of Clause 5(1) of the SET's Rules, Conditions and Procedudres for the Temporary Prohbition of Trading of Listed Securities, notifies on 9 February 1995, therefore, the SET has suspended trading in the securities of STECON further until its creditiors and the court approve the rehabilitation plan and the company has taken significant steps according to the plan. as/spe-ste2.txt
