Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company
Limited (STECON) has asked the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)
to temporarily suspend trading on its securities, because its
creditors had filed the petition for rehabilitation to the court,
and the court will put the petition on trial for the first hearing
on 17 January 2000. After the hearing, the court petition may or may
not approve the petition during trading session of the Stock Exchange,
and the result can affect the share price. To avoid this, the Company
requested the SET to suspend trading of STECON shares from 17 January
2000 until the court approves or disapproves the petition.
This is by virtue of Clause 5 (1) of the SET's Rules,
Conditions and Procedures for the Temporary Prohibition of Trading
of Listed Securities, notifies on 9 February 1995, therefore, the SET
will temporarily suspend trading in the securities of STECON since 17
January 2000 until the court approves or disapproves the petition.
