REQUEST TO SUSPEND TRADING OF STECON SHARES

Our Ref : ST/2000/0023 12 January 2000 Subject : Request to suspend trading of STECON shares To : The president The Securities Exchange of Thailand Pursuant to the Petition for Rehabilitation being field to Court by the company and creditors. Court will put the Petition on trial for the first hearing on January 17,2000. After hearing, the Court may approve the Petition during trading session of The Securities Exchange of Thailand, which may effect the share price. To avoid this, The company requests the Securities Exchange of Thailand to suspend trading of STECON shares since January 17,2000 until the Court approves or disapproves the Petition.
